Supervision
For me, supervision is not a tick-box exercise. It is a thinking space. A place where you can slow down, reflect deeply on your client work, and speak honestly about what is challenging, uncertain or quietly rewarding.
If you are looking for counselling supervision in Maidenhead or online clinical supervision, finding the right supervisory relationship is essential. You need to feel safe enough to be open, supported enough to stay resourced, and challenged enough to grow.
My Approach to Supervision
My supervision is relational, reflective and grounded in a person-centred philosophy. I integrate developmental and systems-based supervision models, adapting our work to your stage of practice.
I attend to the three core functions of effective supervision:
-
Formative – strengthening clinical skills and confidence
-
Normative – maintaining ethical and professional standards
-
Restorative – supporting your wellbeing and sustainability as a therapist
I aim to create a supervisory space where you can think clearly, explore blind spots, process the emotional impact of the work, and deepen your therapeutic presence.
My Training & Experience
I hold a Certificate in Clinical Supervision from the Metanoia Institute and am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working within its Ethical Framework.
Alongside my private practice, I tutor the CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. This gives me a strong understanding of the developmental needs of trainee counsellors, placement pressures and assessment requirements, as well as the realities of qualified practice.
