ABOUT ME

Feeling anxious, low or overwhelmed? Struggling with stress, self-doubt or a difficult life event? If you’re looking for counselling in Maidenhead or online therapy, you don’t have to face it alone.
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and accredited member of the BACP. I provide professional, confidential counselling for adults within recognised ethical standards.
The relationship between client and counsellor is central to effective therapy. Clients often describe me as calm, warm and easy to talk to. I offer a safe, non-judgemental relationship where you can speak openly and begin to make sense of your thoughts and feelings.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach in counselling. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression or simply feeling stuck, we will work at a pace that feels right for you — supporting meaningful, lasting change.
My work as a counsellor
I have many years’ experience supporting adults and young people (16+) through anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and life transitions. It is a privilege to walk alongside people during some of the most challenging periods of their lives.
Alongside my private practice in Maidenhead and online, I have several years of experience as a counselling tutor and clinical supervisor. Teaching and training counsellors has deepened my understanding of therapy and strengthened my commitment to thoughtful, ethical and reflective practice.
For me, the heart of effective counselling is the relationship we build together. I place great importance on creating a space where you feel safe, understood and genuinely accepted. Research consistently shows that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in therapy — and I see this reflected in my work every day.
I work mainly in a person-centred way. I won’t tell you what to do or impose an agenda. Instead, I offer a calm, confidential and non-judgemental relationship where you can explore what is happening for you in the here and now. I believe that, given the right support, you already have the capacity for insight, growth and meaningful change.
I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, meeting in person or online, working at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
I am an accredited member of the BACP and practise within its ethical framework.
Being trusted with someone’s story is something I never take lightly.
If you feel you are ready to take that first step, why not get in touch?
