ABOUT ME

_Love the life you live. Live the life y

How can I help You?

It takes a lot of courage to take that first step and contact a counsellor.  The relationship between client and counsellor is the key to therapeutic change.

You can speak without fear of being judged to someone who will really listen.  You can begin to make sense of what you are feeling.

I am calm, empathic, accepting and non-judgemental.  I can offer you a safe space where you can be yourself.  I can help you to understand and work through your issues at your own pace.  During this process of self-discovery, I can support you in making positive changes in your life.

I firmly believe that each person is unique and there isn't a 'one approach fits all' in counselling.  I will work with you, as an individual.

My work as a counsellor

I started my career in secondary education where I used my counselling skills in working with teenagers and young adults. I later qualified as a counsellor and have worked with adults and young people from all walks of life.

I offer short and long-term one-to-one therapy sessions, meeting in person, usually weekly.  I work with adults and young people (16+).

I work mainly in a person-centred way which means I help you to make sense of what you are feeling and experiencing in the here and now.  You, the client, decide what to focus on as you have the resources within you to find the best solutions and make positive changes.

I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), a professional body which promotes expertise and the highest ethical standards in the counselling profession.

I have been privileged to work with people to navigate through difficult periods of their lives and to emerge happier, more confident and better able to face future challenges.

If you feel you are ready to take that first step, why not get in touch?
